I think this is my favorite page so far, just for the transformation done up visually panel. This was sketched in roughly five separate pieces.

I notice that they have clothes in their human and intermediate forms. But not when they transform. Are the clothes illusionary?

Any organic material coming from a living source, used in clothing is retained during the change on a genetic level. Non living materials like metal zippers would actually drop off and be left behind during the shift.

I really love how much this particular panel reminds me of the Animorphs books I read as a kid….only with more action!
