Sorry folks, I don’t see myself getting a page done for today, I was hoping to have a Monday post in time, but it’s just not going to happen.

Also, no updates next weekend as well, I have a massive convention trip, which you can blame for today’s failure of postlessness, and the lack of pages next week.

You will live, in the mean time, I full endorse ‘Celebrating American like a Bad Motherfucker‘.

Sorry if my approve of new commenters has been a bit slow, the number of spam bots has exploded recently and it’s hard to filter through them.

I was a paradoxical blend of the mom student, always prepared and upbeat with other students. Metal, for well, almost everything else, and Comic geek, which was a given, with my major.

Fellow art college-ers, what where/are you?

Yeah, page 300! I guess that really is alot of pages.  I did some Photoshop inking after the Painter base colors, I might slowly work over to just using Photoshop at somepoint.

Anime Boston rocked,  I’m still a little beat from the workload, but I have a new bonus comic page in the works for this week. New pages will start back up on Friday.

In the mean time, I have a new shirt design up, but this time instead of voting and hoping it gets made, you can buy it right now, for $10 plus shipping.

So, no updates next weekend due to heavy drinking and drawing. Maybe I’ll bring back some awesome doodles as a reward.

Oh man, finished this with such a headache, I just wanted it done and posted. Good chance I might redo the last panel once I get sleep and look at this in the morning.

This is also not new information from Zero, Devin really did secretly know it wouldn’t fit, of course he doesn’t have to act on that.

Today’s page is up, but I should point out that Monday’s page will be pushed back until later in the week. The reason, it’s an awsome surprise, of the good kind. Keep an eye out.

Also, FINALLY the weather here has come around to something not bitter and icey. I couldn’t be happier.

Well the trip to Pleasure Beach was rather depressing. My boyfriend and I had gone roughly two years back, while the last few people still lived on the island, bravely defending their homes despite the state trying to force them to leave. We even got to talk to one guy watching the place, who seemed happy to see we were only there to take photos and not break windows.

Apparently right after we visited and took our photos, the last families where forcefully evicted leaving the place open to vandals and underage drinkers. Who knows how long it took to be torn apart from that point. It was very sad to see places that once looked like people lived in them, to seeing the whole place full of trash, doors kicked in, and bullet holes in walls. I took one souvenir, a cast iron seagull that was nailed to the wall of one home.

The worst part, was that night our Urbex group got news that around the time we had been driving back from the island, a fire broke out. News post about it.

Sad to say, that might be the straw that broke the camel’s back, teens looking to have fun have now ruined a wonderful, historic place for the rest of us. I’ll cherish my one unspoiled trip, and mourn the loss of another great Urbex location worth going to.

The only other plus to the trip, a good friend who came out to join us, gave me a neat little gift. Ten dollars in patient credit for sancks, in case I ever end up in Norwich State Hospital.

I forgot my camera, but I’ll have some taken by a friend to share soon.

Heading off to an Urban Exploration weekend, this round is a second trip to Pleasure Beach, an abandoned island in Connecticut. You can check out photos from the last trip here: Pleasure Beach Pics

I don’t know what the rest of the weekend holds, but I hope it’s as fun as playing around in an abandoned amusement park.

Monday’s page might end up being a little late due to this.

Finally got back a nice way to track donations, since I hate having to keep them some secretive thing. This widget is pretty neat, in that donors can add them selves to the Recognition Wall, along with a comment and link.

There seems to be some confusion about this last scene and when it takes place. All of this takes place in the past, more precisely, right before Janus got himself committed.

Because this is a flashback, I /really/ regret not putting them in alternative clothing to help keep things straight, I didn’t even notice this until I was a few pages in to this.

So durr, I’m not a good writer at times, forgive me.

Long overdue, I want to add a new wallpaper to the mix. So vote on who you want drawn, you can pick more than one answer.

Oh boy, that was a week. Lost ownership of my longtime domain name, and have been trying to deal with the sleazy assholes over at HostOnce to get it back. And by that, I mean my emails and help desk inquiries have all been ignored. I’m escalating this to BBB, and if I have to legal action later.

In comic related news, a good friend of mine is now hosting her comic here on Paperfangs. You guys should go give her comic ‘Prydwen‘ a check, it’s still new, but we have to keep her posting on time. *evil*

Did some serious touch ups to the CSS here again, and added the new header art. I feel very proud. Now I just need to reshuffle the bios pages a bit.

I want to boost the comic back to the top 200 comics again, like I was for most of last year.

So let’s reinstate the ‘extra page a week’ if the Top Web Comics banner stays at 200 or less. Deal? Go vote. Last page of Devin’s bonus comic will be up tomorrow.

Uploaded my page for today, and cued up Monday’s page to post while I’m away. That’s right, I’m leaving state this Sunday, heading to the opposite coast for a week.

Going to be exploring San Jose and San Fransisco for a few days , followed by a convention trip next weekend.

Right now the plan stands with ‘USS Hornet’, ‘Alcatraz night tour’ and ‘Winchester Mystery House’. Totally not just going to check out only creepy haunted places, no…

Played around with the site today. Added some background color to break up the news posts a bit, that was bothering me FOREVER.

Enlarged the navigation arrows for easier browsing. Added the drop menu for chapters to the side bar, and added the Support page to the header nav.

I’ve had quite a few weeks of amazing Holiday fun, Christmas spent in Tennessee eating fattie foods and (re)watching Arrested Development with my parents. Two, far too short days with my awesome friend and fellow comic artist; Jen. She came all the way from Japan to visit. I stole her food.

I’ll miss it, but not too much, I have another adventure coming up fast. This one is in San Jose for a week. I think I’m going to go visit that haunted Navy ship, the USS Hornet.

I installed a pretty nice little gallery plugin for WordPress, you can check that out with the Fan art gallery.  Skarlette donated a really nice drawing of Five just in time for that test. PS: Everyone should draw comics.

Okay, we’re back to /nearly/ normal now. I lost the rotational banner for the site links, and some of my sidebar things, BUT the database is back up, and ordering correctly.

Other new bonuses are, I can finally reply to comments, and I’ve added a gallery for fanart, and my own comic realted doodles.

This page is boring, and I couldn’t fix it up much more to fit the needed dialouge. I sat a bit late to start drawing my page for Saturday, and I see that I never even finished doodling the thumnails sometime last year. So I was quite at a loss as to what I wanted to go in the now dialouged over blank area.

Monday’s update is still up in the air. There might be a page, there might not. Depends on what time I get home from my trip to Vermont on Sunday night, from which I will be then flying home the following morning. It’s a small gap of motivation.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable holiday time over next week, which will hopefully not involve burning your home down by flash frying turkey. That’s always been a concern of mine, that my friends might do that, so don’t.

This page as was a bit late due to massive ice storm. Start of a new chapter, and some old faces returning.

It’s with great regret I have to inform everyone that today’s page will be late.

I just spent the last 48 hours without power due to a massive ice storm that hit New Hampshire pretty hard, and my area; Derry the worst.

We JUST now got our power back, but the house is still a frosty 40 degrees inside, making work rather hard.

In all likelyhood I will have the page done tonight, for a Sunday update. Monday should not be affected at all.

I’d like to also note, I still want snow.  Rain and ice storms don’t cut it.

And a rough end to Chapter 10, but things are going to get a lot rougher from here on out.  I also really enjoy when I get to end a chapter for the last page of a weekend update, better than starting the next week with it.

I’ve been pushing around the idea of finally putting ot a printed copy of BRINK for sale. I don’t really want to deal with shipping copies myself, so my main option is Lulu at this point.

I’ve done some price checks, and if I wanted to cram the first three chapters into a digest sized book, it would come to roughly $30. I find that a bit high myself as a book buyer, but at the same time I feel like only selling single chapters is hardly enough to make a book, even if it brings the price down.

So I want some vote power here.

This was one of those pages that I started late, was hating pretty badly, then it was 3am and it looked good. Only I don’t remember working on it. I’m not the only one that has these sort of pages am I?

I like the paint. I enjoy getting to paint pages a lot. I look back at the start when I was planning to do this whole crazy comic thing in only pen. I can’t imagine what things would have been like had I gone with that path.

Almost the end of the chapter. 10 was a long one, 11 is going to be rather intense, I’m excited to start on some of the pages.

A conflict of head friends.  I’ve run into people in my lifetime that I just can’t physically be around, beacuse I get that same feeling, the looming presence of something big and toothy hanging out around them.

I was away at a convention last weekend, so there was no pages, and I failed to make a comment letting this be known ahead of time. Sorry. I blame being sick right before the flight.

Anyway, back to normal for a bit, then unexpectely my parents have decided I’ll be visiting them for a bit over the Holidays. Like the previous years, I’m running a donation drive, so I can afford to take some time off of my other art related work to pencil out enough BRINK pages to cover the time I’m visiting. This means an uninterupted update timeframe, plus more bonus stuff as well.

Feel free to use the little ‘ChipIn’ dongle over on the left there to donate.  If the goal is met, I’ll do a nice big full color wallpaper along with an extra page for week I’m bumming around Tennessee.

Edit: I have no idea why the Widgit is not updating with the current donations. For serious. We’re at 10% of the goal, yeah!

Welcome to the new host. I’ve been wanting to set up a domain just for comics, so now Paper-Fangs is live. Right now only BRINK is being hosted there, but I have plans to finally start up a second story of mine.

I’ve also touched up some plug ins for WordPress, one of which is this neat Poll system, and better organization for the Chapters.

Someone a little familiar there?

I’ve added in some nice little categories for each chapter, along with areas for the bonus stories, and ask a character pages.

I need to refill the images, and upload them, but once that’s done, everything can easily be accessed over on the right bar.

Alright, all the past pages are now re-archived on WordPress.  If you happen across a missing page, please let me know. This script requires I had entered each date exact, and with nearly 200 pages, there’s a chance I missed one or two on the way.

I will keep the old HTML archive up until I’ve added the bonus comics here. However, now all links will be sent here instead.

I’m not a CSS wizard, so this is the layout for now, until I figure out what to do with it.
