Both plural and singular, Asini. After humanity had it'd time to rise, the Asini species was created shortly following to keep a continuous connection with the god Asis. It's officially counted as a twenty year gap between the two races birth.
Similar to humaninty is most ways, Asini tend toward an average height of five and a half feet tall, with the same racial variation seen in humans by region. While presenting themselves as nearly Human, Asini share some unique features that set them part. The largest variation between their similar human counterparts is the presence of a second more animalistic form, respectfully referred to as the 'other form'. All Asini posse this ability to switch between their human and other forms at will. Small aspects of this form will carry over in varying accents to their human form, usually in the accent of pointed ears, horns, digitigrade feet and tails. How extreme these show varies greatly between individuals, and in some cases would be almost impossibly to tell an Asini apart from a human.
Asini also possess rapid healing compared to Humans, able to take wounds that would otherwise outright kill a Human, usually avoided by use of their secondary other forms.
Unlike Humans, Asini live a much more lengthened timespan, usually reaching 400 years on average. Young are born in other form and retain this for the first 12-18 years of their lives, learning to shift into their more human forms around this time. Adulthood is considered once a young Asini reaches approximately 40.
Asini have a rocky footing in the world currently. Only the Halzin Nations consider them allies, and allow them in the city, everywhere else has tentative at best relations and lean toward only allowing a few in, or closely monitoring ones coming in temporarily. Arren's crusade has encouraged more violence against humanity, and as such has increased humanity's suspicions toward the Asini race as a whole.
No city house Asini as the major race, the Halzin Nations has the largest population currently, but is hesitant to allow in permanent members.
