Appearance:

Like all Asini, Rike has two forms which he uses, mostly picking between them as the need fits. In his beastly from, Rike is quite fearsome looking, vaguely fashioned after vultures and dromaeosuaridae dinosaurs. His upper body is covered in a thick mane of feathers in a deep indigo color, and a pair of small double horns set against the base of his skull hidden under it. The rest of his body is a sleek hide in a lighter shade of dusty blue. The most striking feature in this form is a pair of sickle claws on each hindfoot, an item easily used in fights. While his monster side is impressively decked out, his human form is slightly less striking, only standing at a meager 5 feet. The crest of feathers carries over in the form of a messy head of feathers, his wings and tail also carry over, but instead of accenting a predatory form, they serve more to make him look awkward. Rike's build is lean, and not built for combat, giving him a much younger appearance for his age. His features are sharp and narrow, set against natural blue eyes. Rike keeps his clothing simple, in earthy tones, and occasionally wearing simple jewelry accessories at times.

Personality:

Driven in his goals, and head strong in how he deals with disagreement, Rike comes off as being arrogant and unwavering in his opinions. Despite the rough front he puts forth, Rike is an intelligent, quick witted individual, carefully weighting in outcomes and options before he forms the stances he so aggressively defends. While not above offering out a helping hand, the gesture is usually made with intentions of helping persuading others into his side.

Creation Notes:

Rike was one of the first secondary cast to be created after the initial team started to shape up as characters. Sorit needed an early companion in the story, and the first draft ideas of a toxic friend started right away.

Sorit and Rike's relationship was always a major focus early on, having them work as deeply connected friends with drastically different views on the world never changed from early drafts, while Rike's position as villain did over time.

First draft designs had Rike as a towering creature in both human and monster form, his current, shorter stature was more fitting to the personality that started to form with the storyline.
