Sorit, like all Asini, possesses two physical forms, but he prefers to remain in the beastly form. As a human Sorit is tall even by the Asini standards, hovering at 6'2. His features sharp, but not overly defining in any area. Sorit's eyes are a deep yellow, nearly orange and reflective even in low light. Dark hair set somewhere between black and deep brown is kept at shoulder length, or tied back when needed. Sorit keeps his clothing simple, a long sleeved pull over with high neck, and a part of heavy canvas shorts, modified for his tail. He keeps no accessories, and goes bare foot in the rare times he's in human form. As Asini, he is not able to hide his inhuman features well, and is outwardly obvious. He walks digitigrade, legs ending in dull clawed paws. A thick, furred tail is also present. Almost as unimpressive as his human side, Sorit's beastly side is hardly majestic or awe inspiring. He resembles a cross between a horse and warthog, taking the worse of both animals. His dark hair carries over to this side, in the form of a horse like mane that covers his face. His most striking feature in this form is a set of curved tusks, almost useless for fighting, but threatening in design. All four feet are vaguely human like, ending in claws. His left shoulder sports a tattoo design of five rings that gradually decrease in size, a tribute to his work for the god Asis.
Sorit is a solitary wanderer, heavily effected by the loss of Asis and the way of life that he grew up with. He comes off as soft spoken, with a very depressed and pessimistic view of things when he does speak. Sorit's biggest weakness is his inability to let go of the past, instead dwelling on things to the point of obsession. Sorit is usually fairly laid back, but has a few easy to trip triggers that can send him into a rage. He is in control of his anger, and rarely strikes out physically when provoked, instead will do what he can get the aggressor to back down, using his own threats. A very intelligent individual, Sorit has managed to scrape by since the fall of Asis, and well trained in the skills needed to survive in harsh conditions.
Sorit was another early character design in the creation of the final comic story. While his character, personality and demeanor all remained mostly stable during the changes from the first story drafts only a few small things did change.
Early ideas included having Sorit be the last of his race, and another had him hunting down and killing off others of his race. This theme later shifted to secondary characters.
