While the Halzin Nations is the largest city on the continent based on physical space, Duno is the winner when it comes to the highest population. Nestled in the Western mountain range, Duno is a city that grew upward instead of outward during it's heyday. Simple housing rose up into tall buildings that the human population inhabit, living in small units in close proximity to one another to conserve on the city's physical footprint in it's limited range. Businesses feel the same pressure to conserve on space, stacking living space and work space into the same few feet of building. The city itself is broken up into a few distinct areas, the sections highest on the rock cliffs making up the political scene, as well as the highest classes citizens. Seeping down from there is the major business district, middle class residents and various city industries and maintenance functions. The lowest gathering of residents, both socially and physically in the city's layout are situated around the main entrance. Military buildings are located separately outside the city's main boarders, but are visible from the main pathway into the city. Gentle slopes, and leveled pathways make up the roadwork of Duno, oldest areas of the city are known for having less thought put into where the walkways, and where the wires, pipes and filler of basic utilities are placed. Newer areas, having the luxury of more money to lend on making the appearance of the city more ascetically pleasing, are glad to keep the public areas looking modern.
Buildings all over the city are a blended mix of more ancient rock and brick work, along with a more modern feel of metal and processed woods. Remnants of the city's past can even be found hidden away in more unused areas of the city, including the gutted remains of the only temple left from the death of Asis.
Duno is a far more advanced city than it's sister cities nearby. Electricity is available in all but the most out of the way corners, with streets lit by overhead lighting at night. Medical practices are also more prevalent, and available to all citizens. Time saving machines allow the citizens of Duno to create clothing, food, and day to day items faster, cheaper and with less waste.
Duno both historically, and presently has a near fully human population. Racial variation in Duno's human population is vast, with very little distinctive traits presence, this is due to heavy immigration from other areas of the world at all points of the cities existence.
While some Asini have taken up a very dangerous niche blending in with the human based city, their numbers are very small in relation to the size of the population. Both Asini and Second Race and are on paper banned from residency in the city, while Asini actually suffer from persecution due to this, Second Race simply are denied jobs, or legal rights.
