Second Race is the formal term used to describe any of the sentient animal based species that appeared following the god Asis' death. The term is in itself incorrect on both counts. First, the Asini are technically the second race present in the world, after humans. Second, individuals of the Second race are not actually a collective race, but rather a group of unrelated species, unable to interbreed outside of their selective strains.
Next to humans, the Second Race are the most numerous race to populate the world.
Similar in biology to humans, Second Race on average mature about the late teens, and will live into their 60s. Some variation does exist between the different Second Race strains. Random instances of unrelated throw back mutations is not uncommon among Second Race, these unusual and more animalistic individuals are referred to as dragons?.
Since they've appeared in the world, various types of Second Race have both gone extinct, while others have faded into obscurity.
