Second Race that reside in many smaller towns that are able to produce resources that would be non destructive to their well being are commonly offered exchanges for allowing these commodities be used by the town itself, and themselves given housing, more expensive food, or other trade items.
Most commonly the Wepi are able to offer out wool, or other course hairs, shed horns and milk as per part of these social contracts. rula also find these welcome trades in the Halzin Nations, where certain types of stripes feathers are highly sought after.
While non fatal trades are the norm, more serious trades are also offered in private in many smaller towns, while others outright ban the practice. These quiet pacts are generally termed blood contracts. In these trades a Second Race will offer out their own life to be turned into food for other people of the town at a certain age, in return for a comfortable living set up in the present. These pacts are kept quiet, and rarely will either side of them talk about them to anyone else. This is why these blood pacts still linger even in places that ban them.
